Telerobotic experiences are reaching new heights with light field technology
In collaboration with Université libre de Bruxelles, CITSEM Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, and German Aerospace Center (DLR), CREAL has taken part in an H2020 project on Holographic Vision for Tele-Robotic Operation (Hovitron).
The project aimed to bring superior technology for even the most complex telerobotic maneuvers. Altogether, the partners managed to bring free navigation view of the scene to the teleoperator, while providing immersive holographic vision, due to light-field technology.
CREAL is thrilled to take part in projects showcasing the benefits of our light-field technology, allowing, in this case, teleoperators to maneuver with precision within arm’s reach distance and for a longer period of time.
